Abstract:
A moving-body scanner 100 comprises: an examination unit 10 that scans a moving body, such as a pedestrian PE serving as the object of examination, by transmitting terahertz waves TW of a prescribed wavelength region towards the moving body and receiving terahertz waves RW reflected from the moving body; at least one location detection unit 30 that detects the location of the moving body; and a direction switching mirror 20 that switches the propagation direction of the terahertz waves from the examination unit 10, in accordance with the location of the moving body as detected by the at least one location detection unit 30.
