Abstract:
A multi-mode fleet delivery system and method for bottled gas. The system mainly comprises a vehicle delivery system (30) connected to multiple consumers and multiple vehicles by means of a network. The consumers and vehicles transmit signals by means of first electronic devices (10) and second electronic devices (20), respectively. When a consumer desires to order liquefied petroleum gas, the consumer sends order information by means of a first electronic device, and the vehicle delivery system (30) activates, according to the order information, a scheduled gas order mode, an unscheduled gas order mode, or a self pick-up gas order mode. The self pick-up gas order mode means that a personal delivery is negotiated with a consumer at a non-fixed location. Concessions are provided to encourage consumers to order gas in scheduled or self pick-up modes, and free time slots in the schedule are employed to support the unscheduled mode. The system and method of the present invention can improve delivery efficiency and enables interaction with consumers.
