Title:
MULTIFUNCTION TIMEPIECE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/107059
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A multifunction timepiece (1) comprises a rate regulation means provided to regulate the rate while maintaining the rotation of a gear train (20) in a fixed direction. The driving speed of the gear train (20) is not brought to zero even for a moment, and each CG hand and a second hand perform sweep motion. Since the measured time can be known quantitatively even if the stopping position of each CG hand is not graduated, a more accurate measurement can be realized. Since sweep motion is employed, interval of graduation (arrangement of graduations) for the second CG hand on the dial (7) is not limited. Further and since finer graduation can be realized, minimum measurable unit can be made smaller.
