A navigation device of the present invention is provided with an acquiring means, a storage means, an extracting means, a guide means, and a determining means. The acquiring means acquires an image picked up by means of an image pickup means. The storage means stores landmark information relating to facilities. The extracting means extracts, at the time when a mobile body moves along a route, landmarks that correspond to a guide spot from the landmark information stored in the storage means. The guide means guides the guide spot using the extracted landmarks. At a spot where a feature object corresponding to the landmark information can be photographed, the determining means determines whether the feature object can be recognized from the image acquired by means of the acquiring means. Then, when it is determined by the determining means that the feature object cannot be recognized, the guide means performs guiding by eliminating the landmark that corresponds to the feature object from among the landmarks having been extracted by means of the extracting means.
