Abstract:
Provided is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high capacity and excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein: the negative electrode has a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode mixture layer formed on the surface of the negative electrode current collector; the negative electrode mixture layer has a first negative electrode mixture layer facing the negative electrode current collector and a second negative electrode mixture layer facing the positive electrode; the negative electrode mixture layer includes a particulate negative electrode active material; at least the second negative electrode mixture layer includes carbon nanotubes; and when the interparticle porosity of the negative electrode active material in the first negative electrode mixture layer is S1, and the interparticle porosity of the negative electrode active material in the second negative electrode mixture layer is S2, 3.5≤S2/S1≤5.0 is satisfied.
