Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-contact electric step device capable of assisting a passenger when he or she gets on and off a small-and-medium-sized bus, the non-contact electric step device comprising: a non-contact sensor which determines whether an obstacle exists through the change in the capacitance value of a sensor according to the approach of an object, the sensor having the form of a covered wire or a metal mesh; an electric step which is mounted in the lower portion of a door, and is driven such that when the door opens, passengers can step thereon to get on the bus, wherein the non-contact sensor is mounted on the outer side of the electric step; and an open-and-close control unit which controls the drive of the electric step in response to the open-and-close operation of the door, and controls the drive of the electric step to stop in the case where it is notified from the non-contact sensor that there is an obstacle in the foreground during the drive of the electric step.
