Abstract:
A non-contact position sensing device (2) is provided with: a plurality of infrared LEDs (51, 52), which are respectively provided at areas different from each other, and which transmit infrared rays; a photosensor (61), which receives a plurality of infrared rays reflected by a subject; and a control unit (20), which calculates the position of the subject on the basis of the reflected light received by the photosensor (61). The control unit (20) performs, on the basis of reflected light intensities, switching between intensity-based position calculation wherein the position of the subject is calculated on the basis of the intensities of the reflected light, and a phase-based position calculation wherein the intensities of signals transmitted from the infrared LEDs (51, 52) are periodically changed, and the position of the subject is calculated on the basis of the phases of the intensity changes of the reflected light.
