Abstract:
In the present invention, when a slab containing prescribed amounts of C, Si, Mn, Al, N, and Cr is hot rolled, hot-rolled-sheet annealed, cold rolled, and finishing-annealed in a continuous annealing furnace to manufacture a non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet, the maximum temperature reached in the finishing annealing is set to below 900°C, the average cooling speed from a temperature of (maximum temperature reached – 50°C) to 500°C in the cooling process in the finishing annealing is set to 40°C/s or above, and a parameter ε/t defined by the plastic elongation ε(%) in the rolling direction between before and after the finishing annealing and the soaking time t(s) for the finishing annealing is set to 0.10 or above, whereby a non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet is obtained in which the average particle diameter of ferrite is below 50 μm, the yield stress is 500 MPa or above, and the compressive residual stress σS, σC in the sheet width direction at the steel sheet surface and the sheet thickness center part obtained by an X-ray stress measurement method are both 2.0 MPa or above, the non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet having a high strength and having a low core loss in the high-frequency region.
