Abstract:
Provided are: an object detection device that can easily set a detection region; and an elevator system. This object detection device comprises: a region setting unit that sets a plurality of regions in shape data of an object present under a shape data acquisition device provided to an upper portion of an entryway of an elevator car; a first region recognition unit that compares shape data when the door of the entryway is open, with shape data when the door of the entryway is closed, thereby recognizing a door region indicating the position of the door among the plurality of regions in the shape data; a second region recognition unit that recognizes one or more second regions among the plurality of regions in the shape data on the basis of the position of the door region; a detection region setting unit that sets a detection region in at least one among a region including at least a portion of the door region and a region including at least a portion of the one or more second regions; and a detection processing unit that detects, on the basis of the shape data, that a detection target object is present in the detection region.
