Abstract:
This object detection device is provided with a microphone array which includes multiple omnidirectional microphones, and a processor which processes first acoustic data recorded by the microphone array. On the basis of the first acoustic data, the processor sequentially changes the direction of directivity to generate multiple sets of second acoustic data having directivity in arbitrary directions, analyzes the sound pressure level and frequency components of the second acoustic data, and determines that an object is present in a first direction of the arbitrary directions if the sound pressure level of a specific frequency included in the frequency components of the second acoustic data having directivity in said first direction is greater than or equal to a first prescribed value.
