Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an object detection device capable of detecting a pedestrian with high accuracy. The object detection device comprises: a candidate area determination unit 103 which, on the basis of a detection position of a pedestrian in an image of a previous frame, determines a candidate area of the pedestrian in the image of a current frame; a feature extraction unit 104 which calculates a feature amount by analyzing pixel values for the candidate area; a body trunk likelihood calculation unit 106 which refers to a body trunk area set in advance in the candidate area to calculate a first tracking score indicating the similarity of the feature amount of the body trunk area between the current frame and the previous frame; a limb likelihood calculation unit 107 which refers to a limb area set in advance in the candidate area to calculate a second tracking score indicating the difference of the feature amount of the limb area between the current frame and the previous frame; and a tracking area determination unit 108 which determines a tracking area in the current frame on the basis of the first tracking score and the second tracking score.
