Abstract:
Provided is an object detection device that is mounted to a moving body and detects an object in the surroundings of the moving body, the object detection device comprising: a transmitter for transmitting a transmission wave that corresponds to a transmission signal; a receiver for receiving, as a reception wave, a transmission wave reflected by the object; a relative speed estimation unit for estimating the relative speed of the moving body and the object; a correlation processing unit for changing, in accordance with the relative speed, the window width of a reference window for determining the number of pulses of the transmission signal for acquiring a correlation with respect to the reception signal when acquiring a correlation value corresponding to the degree of similarity of the transmission signal and a reception signal corresponding to a reception wave; and a detection unit for detecting information relating to the object when it is determined that the correlation value indicates a prescribed level or higher of similarity.
