Abstract:
A power conversion device comprises: a switching circuit for converting DC power to AC power; a current detector for detecting current flowing from the switching circuit to an AC electric motor; a coordinate convertor for converting the current detected by the current detector to the current in a coordinate system rotating at an arbitrary speed; a phase computation unit for computing the current phase in a rotating coordinate system from the current in the rotating coordinate system output from the coordinate convertor; and an open phase determination unit for determining an open phase on the basis of the current phase in the rotating coordinate system output from the phase computation unit.
