Abstract:
This operation amount detection device comprises: a first member that rotates about the central axis of rotation due to an operation force input to a pedal to transmit a rotational torque; a second member that is capable of rotating about the central axis of rotation and moving relative to the first member in an axial direction of the central axis of rotation, is interposed between the first member and a reaction force member, and receives, from the reaction force member, input of a reaction force of the rotational torque transmitted from the first member; a conversion mechanism that converts rotation of the first member to movement of the second member relative to the first member in the axial direction, thereby converting the rotational torque to a thrust force that is a force in the axial direction; an elastic body that is provided at a distance from the reaction force member and deforms elastically due to the thrust force; and a detector that is fixed to the elastic body and detects the deformation amount of the elastic body.
