Abstract:
An operation device for a vehicle seat has a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism
has a drum case having a circular hollow cylindrical drum wall, a lock spring having
a coil part fitted into the drum wall and locked by friction force between the lock
spring and the inner peripheral surface of the drum wall, and a shaft guide rotatably
supported by the drum case that operates to make frictional force of the lock spring
effective and ineffective. Between the lock mechanism and an operating mechanism
installed at a desired position is provided a transmission mechanism for transmitting
both reaction force from the operating mechanism and operating force of the operating
mechanism. A rattling prevention spring for preventing rattling of the shaft
guide in the rotating direction is installed between the drum case and the shaft
guide.
