Abstract:

An optical member (1) has a transparent substrate (2), and a dielectric multilayer film (3) in which are layered a plurality of single-refractive-index layers (33) made of a high-refractive-index layer (31) having a refractive index of 2 or higher and a low-refractive-index layer (32) having a refractive index of 1.6 or lower, the dielectric multilayer film being formed on the transparent substrate (2). In the optical member (1), specifically, the total number of single-refractive-index layers (33) in the dielectric multilayer film (3) is at least 15, and the number of single-refractive-index layers (33) in the dielectric multilayer film (3) satisfying the condition nHdH/nLdL ≥ 3, where nHdH is the optical film thickness of the high-refractive-index layer (31) and nLdL is the optical film thickness of the low-refractive-index layer (32) in each single-refractive-index layer (3).
