Abstract:
An optical module (200). The optical module (200) comprises a housing, a circuit board (300), and a first optical transceiver assembly (500), wherein the circuit board (300) is arranged in the housing; and the first optical transceiver assembly (500) comprises a first base (510), a first silicon photonics chip (530), a first light source (520), a first secondary circuit board (540), and a first digital signal processing chip (550). The first silicon photonics chip (530) is configured to receive and modulate light that does not carry a signal, so as to output light carrying the signal, or to receive an optical signal from the outside of the optical module (200); the first light source (520) is configured to provide the first silicon photonics chip (530) with the light that does not carry the signal; the end of the first secondary circuit board (540) that faces the first silicon photonics chip (530) is open, so as to form a first notch (541); the first silicon photonics chip (530) is arranged in the first notch (541); and the first digital signal processing chip (550) is arranged on the first secondary circuit board (540) and is electrically connected to the first silicon photonics chip (530) by means of the first secondary circuit board (540), so as to drive the first silicon photonics chip (530).
