Abstract:
This optical sensor detects force from object contact and object proximity according to a light reception result. This optical sensor comprises: a first light source (31) for emitting light; a first light reception unit (32) for receiving light and generating a signal indicating a light reception result; a cover member (35) that is configured from an elastic body that deforms in response to external force, comprises a reflection part that reflects light and a transmission part that transmits light, and covers the first light source and first light reception unit; a force detection unit (30) for detecting force corresponding to the deformation of the cover member on the basis of a signal indicating a light reception result of the first light reception unit corresponding to the light emitted by the first light source; an optical device (21) provided outside the cover member; and a proximity detection unit (20) for detecting object proximity using the optical device and one from among the first light source and first light reception unit.
