Abstract:

Provided is an optical system (1) that has at least one lens, wherein said at least one lens includes a first lens (L21) through which a beam of light for forming an image of a section eccentric with respect to an optical axis (7) passes eccentrically with respect to the optical axis, and at least one surface of the first lens includes a plurality of areas having different optical characteristics, said areas being switched by a focusing unit (52) that rotates the first lens about the optical axis, which serves as a rotational axis. A typical example of the plurality of areas includes: a first area for forming an image at a short distance; and a second area for forming an image at a long distance.
