Abstract:
An optical transceiver 100 is capable of two-way communication with an optical transceiver of a communication partner via a single-mode optical fiber 2. A surface emitting laser 112 has a T-band oscillation wavelength shorter than the cutoff wavelength of the optical fiber 2. A photodetector 122 has detection sensitivity in the T band. A planar lightwave circuit 131 is connected to the optical fiber 2, the surface emitting laser 112, and the photodetector 122.
