Abstract:
An optical waveguide package comprises: a substrate having a first surface; cladding that is located on the first surface, that has a second surface facing the first surface and a third surface located opposite the second surface, and that has an element mounting area that is open to the third surface; a core located inside the cladding; a first electrode which is located in the element mounting area and onto which a light-emitting element is mounted; and a second electrode that is connected to the first electrode and that extends outside the element mounting area. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the first electrode is smaller than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the second electrode.
