ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/023496
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An organic electroluminescent element which has a high color purity, high luminescent efficiency, and long life and emits a red color; and a novel compound. The organic electroluminescent element comprises at least one pair of electrodes and an organic layer interposed therebetween, and is characterized in that the organic layer contains a compound represented by general formula (1). (In the formula, R?1¿ to R?14¿ each independently is hydrogen or an optionally substituted C¿1-10? alkyl, C¿6-20? aryloxy, C¿6-20? arylalkyl, C¿6-30? aryl, C¿6-30? arylamino, C¿2-20? alkylamino, or C¿6-30? arylalkylamino group, provided that at least two adjacent ones of R?1¿ to R?14¿ are not hydrogen but form a cyclic structure.)
