Abstract:
The present invention provides an organic light emitting element wherein: good carrier movement and good triplet energy transfer between light emitting layers stacked upon each other are achieved; and driving durability is improved. With respect to this organic light emitting element, a light emitting layer comprises a first light emitting layer 4a and a second light emitting layer 4b, which are in contact with each other; the first light emitting layer 4a contains a first organic compound, a first metal complex and a second metal complex; the second light emitting layer 4b contains a second organic compound and a third metal complex but does not contain the first metal complex; and if T1D1, T1D2 and T1D3 are respectively the triplet energy of the first metal complex, the triplet energy of the second metal complex and the triplet energy of the third metal complex, the relational expressions (a) to (c) are satisfied. (a): T1D2 > T1D1
(b): T1D3 ≥ T1D2
(c): T1D2 - T1D1 > T1D3 - T1D2
