Abstract:
This orientation control device (1) has: a center-of-gravity axis (LG) which is set to be an axis passing through the center of gravity (G) of a control object (HR) along the vertical direction; and a reference axis (LB) which is set to be an axis passing through the center of gravity (G) of the control object (HR) along the vertical direction during upright orientation. The orientation control device comprises: a grip section (DH) that is arranged at a location spaced apart from the reference axis (LB); an incline angle detecting means (11) for detecting an angle (θ) formed by the center-of-gravity axis (LG) and the reference axis (LB); and a determining means (12) for determining whether the control object (HR) is in a state of having been lifted up. The determining means (12) determines the control object (HR) to be in the state of having been lifted up if the angle detected by the incline angle detecting means (11) is within a predetermined angle range (RAθ).
