Abstract:
An oval-like rotor engine having high sealing performance comprises an upper end cover (1), a lower end cover (2), a rotor (3), three combustion chambers (4), three isolation strips (6), a fuel oil injection and ignition device (5), a sealing pin row (7), and an eccentric drive shaft (8). During operation of the engine, the eccentric drive shaft (8) and a cylinder profile restrict the rotor (3), such that the rotor (3) performs planetary gear motion. For each rotation of the rotor (3), two compression-expansion motion cycles are performed. Separate thermal cycles are formed in the three combustion chambers (4), and useful work is output externally by means of the eccentric drive shaft (8). The invention provides an improved design for the rotor (3) and the cylinder profile, and the sealing pin row (7) seals a transition region between different combustion chambers, thereby better preventing wear of the structure, effectively improving sealing performance between the combustion chambers, and reducing the amount of fuel gas leaking from a position between cylinders. The improved profile and the improved sealing method increase a design error margin of the engine, and reduce difficulties in machining of the engine, thereby effectively reducing production costs of the engine.
