Abstract:
The present invention provides an oxidized LDL inhibitor which (i) binds specifically to oxidized LDL, (ii) suppresses physiological activity of oxidized LDL, and (iii) is able to inhibit uptake of oxidized LDL into cells. This oxidized LDL inhibitor contains Del-1 protein as an active ingredient. The Del-1 protein comprises, for example, an amino acid sequence indicated by SEQ ID NO: 1.
