The invention relates to a cheese slicer for blue moulded cheese. At the same time, the cheese slicer serves as a holder of the cheese.

The cheese slicer is compounded of a holder which has the same inner shape and -size as the cheese in question. The holder is equipped with a detachable bottom and an outer lid. By means of the detachable bottom the cheese can be pushed forward through the holder until a preferred slice of cheese is reached. The opening of the holder has the shape of the sector of a circle. A nylon thread is fixed to the vertex. By means of this nylon thread a slice of cheese is cut by leading the nylon thread along the con¬ cave side of the holder which now functions as a cheese slicer. *The cheese slicer is equipped with a lid and the cheese slicer now functions as a container of the cheese between the meals.

The cheese slicer is unique by being a holder, a cheese slicer and a container at the same time.

The drawings show the separate parts of the cheese slicer: i.e., the bottom, the holder and the lid. The drawing shows the nylon thread with a knob in the one end as a handle. Furthermore, the drawing shows a cutting platform which stops the nylon thread after having cut a slice of cheese. The shape of the bottom is smaller than the shape of the holder in order to make the bottom pass through the holder.
