Abstract:
Provided is a novel packaging device that allows a heating section (21) of a vertical sealing unit (10) to be covered with a cover (40) just by retracting the vertical sealing unit into a device-side unit without using a drive mechanism and also allows easy maintenance of a seal jaw of the vertical sealing unit covered by the cover. This packaging device comprises the vertical sealing unit (10) that is provided to be retractable from a vertical sealing position for tubular film, the cover (40) that covers a heating section of the vertical sealing unit, and a linking mechanism (50) that moves the cover from a position in which the heating section (21) is exposed to a position where same is covered by transmitting the retraction movement of the vertical sealing unit to the cover.
