Abstract:
A shift range-controlling device for switching the shift range by controlling the driving of a motor (10) is provided with: a coasting determination unit (57) for determining whether or not the motor is in a free-running state in which the motor is rotating within the range of play between the motor shaft, which is the motor rotation shaft, and an output shaft (15) to which the motor rotation is transmitted; and a current-limiting unit (58) for limiting the current of the motor when the motor is determined to be in a free-running state.
