Abstract:

Intended is to provide a paper currency processing device for displaying its own information plainly for the operator although its function and structure are complicated, and a control method for the paper currency processing device. The paper currency processing device (100) is characterized by comprising an operation unit (103) for accepting an instruction from the operator, first and second display units (104, 105) capable of making graphic displays, a storage unit (310) for storing first and second data (311, 312) to be displayed in the first and second display units (104, 105), detecting means (303) for detecting the occurrence of a predetermined event, and a control unit (300) for reading, in case the occurrence of the predetermined event is detected by the detecting means (303), the first and second data (311, 312) stored in the storage unit (310), on the basis of the contents of that event, thereby to cause the first display unit (104) to display the first data (311) and said second display unit (105) to display the second data (312).
