Abstract:
The present invention stores, in advance, a plurality of different reference images (IM31, IM41, IM42) for identifying a target parking space (Pt), which were generated using an image capture device (20) that captures images of the surroundings of a host vehicle (V1). Then when the host vehicle (V1) is to be parked in the target parking space (Pt), the present invention compares an image of the current surroundings of the host vehicle with at least one of the plurality of different reference images to recognize the target parking space, and autonomously controls the traveling operation of the host vehicle to the recognized target parking space on the basis of position information about the target parking space.
