Title:
PARTICLE CONTROL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/064295
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A particle control device (1) is configured to control the movement of a particle in a medium of a sample (90), the particle control device (1) comprising a light source (10), an optical vortex generation unit (20), an objective lens (30), an imaging unit (60), an analysis unit (70), and a transfer unit (80). The analysis unit (70): acquires first movement information of a particle on the basis of image data from the imaging unit (60) that imaged the particle optically trapped in an optical vortex when the convergence position of the optical vortex created using an objective lens (30) is set at a first position; acquires second movement information of the particle on the basis of image data from the imaging unit (60) that imaged the particle optically trapped in the optical vortex when the convergence position of the optical vortex is set at a second position; and evaluates the state of the optical trap created by the optical vortex for the particle by comparing the first movement information and the second movement information.
