Abstract:
A passive inter-modulation source positioning method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of wireless communications. The method comprises: a network device sequentially executes a scanning process on each scan point in a plurality of scan points by the following steps: sending, by means of a transmit antenna, a plurality of downlink signals at different frequencies for a first scan point, and receiving, by means of a receive antenna, an uplink PIM signal for the first scan point, wherein the first scan point is any scan point in the plurality of scan points, and the uplink PIM signal is generated by excitation by any at least two downlink signals in the plurality of downlink signals; the network device determines a PIM source in the plurality of scan points according to the uplink PIM signal corresponding to the plurality of scan points. Hence, without the need of an external device, the network device can implement positioning of a PIM source.
