Abstract:
A patching method. For a plurality of files which is compiled to generate an original mirror image, if a file among the plurality files changes, the changed file can be referred to as a first file, and the first file can be updated by adding a new inode of the first file and/or newly added data of the first file to the tail of the original mirror image to obtain a new mirror image. In this way, by updating the first file at the tail of the original mirror image, the disk layout of the new mirror image has a small overall change with respect to the disk layout of the original mirror image; therefore, differential data obtained on the basis of the new mirror image and the original mirror image is small, and a patch is small.
