Abstract:
This pedal device is equipped with: a housing (10); a pedal (50) which is attached to the housing so as to be capable of changing positions in a first direction (Dy1) from a reference position as a result of a driver braking operation, and also capable of changing positions in a second direction (Dy2), which is the direction opposite the first direction, when the braking operation is released; a reactive force generation unit (61, 62, 63, 68) which applies a reactive force to the pedal in opposition to the load applied by the braking operation by elastically deforming when the braking operation causes the pedal to change positions from the reference position toward the first direction side, and when the braking operation is released, causes a recovery of the pedal position to the reference position as a result of the reactive force; and a pedal recovery unit (70, 75) which is provided alongside the reactive force generation unit, and by elastically deforming according to the amount of change in the pedal position, applies a recovery force to the pedal which brings the position of the pedal near the reference position by causing a change in pedal position toward the second direction side when the braking operation is released.
