Abstract:
This perfluoropolymer enables manufacturing an electrolyte membrane with excellent mechanical strength in high temperature environments; this liquid composition, solid polymer electrolyte membrane, membrane electrode assembly, and solid polymer water electrolysis device are obtained using said perfluoropolymer. The perfluoropolymer contains perfluoro monomer units, contains substantially no units having a halogen atom other than fluorine atoms, contains substantially no units having a ring structure, and has an acid-type sulfonic acid group. The perfluoro monomer units include at least one type of unit A selected from the group consisting of perfluorovinyl ether units and perfluoroallyl ether units, and the perfluoropolymer is a dry resin with a 0.9-1.4 milliequivalent/gram ion exchange capacity and has a 100 MPa or higher storage modulus at 120°C.
