Abstract:
Provided is a perfume composition containing a compound which has a satisfactory balance between a floral-like fragrance and a citrus green-like fragrance, is excellent in terms of harmony with other various perfumes, comes to smell stronger when blended, and can give a fresh floral feeling. The perfume composition contains 4,7-dimethyloctan-3-ol. The perfume composition may further contain one or more compounds selected, for example, from the group consisting of esters, carbonates, aldehydes, ethers, lactones, and alcohols other than 4,7-dimethyloctan-3-ol.
