Abstract:
A periphery monitoring device according to an embodiment is provided with: a storage unit for storing a travel history of a vehicle; an image acquisition unit for acquiring a first image showing the road surface underneath the floor of the vehicle; a first calculation unit for calculating, on the basis of the travel history, a first trajectory through which the front wheels of the vehicle have passed; and an output unit that produces a superimposed display of the first image, the first trajectory, and display objects indicating the positions of the rear wheels of the vehicle on a display screen provided inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
