Abstract:
Disclosed are: a pharmaceutical composition, a health functional food composition, and a feed composition for preventing or treating metabolic diseases, all of which contain dehydro-6-gingerdione or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and a method for treating metabolic diseases by using the pharmaceutical composition. Dehydro-6-gingerdione or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, provided in the present invention, is derived from ginger of which the safety has been confirmed, and can improve diabetic symptoms or obesity symptoms, and thus can be widely used for safe and effective prevention or treatment of various metabolic diseases.
