Abstract:
[Problem] To increase the fluorescence intensity of emission light and suppress color unevenness of emitted white light in continued use when excitation light is made incident on a phosphor plate and fluorescence is generated. [Solution] A phosphor element 1 is provided with: a phosphor part 2 provided with an incidence surface 2a for excitation light, an opposite surface 2b opposite the incidence surface, and a side surface 2c, the phosphor part 2 converting at least a portion of excitation light incident on the incidence surface to fluorescence and causing the fluorescence to be emitted from the opposite surface or the incidence surface; and a heat-dissipating substrate 3 provided on the side surface 2c of the phosphor part 2, the heat-dissipating substrate 3 comprising a metal plating film comprising a metal having a thermal conductivity of at least 200 W/mK.
