Abstract:
A phosphor powder according to the present invention contains phosphor particles of a phosphor represented by general formula Mx(Si,Al)2(N,O)3±y (where M is Li and at least one alkaline earth metal element and 0.52 ≤ x ≤ 0.9, and 0.06 ≤ y ≤ 0.36) and having part of M substituted with Ce, wherein the Si/Al atomic ratio is 1.5-6, inclusive, the O/N atomic ratio is 0-0.1, inclusive, 5-50 mol% of M is Li, 0.5-10 mol% of M is Ce, and the total content of the Cr, Fe, and Ni in the phosphor powder is 20.0 ppm or less.
