Abstract:
[Problem] To retain, over an extended period of time, a state in which anatase-form titanium oxide microparticles are dispersed in an aqueous medium in order to form an elaborate photocatalyst layer. [Solution] The present invention comprises photocatalyst particles in which a photocatalyst of spear-shaped crystal particles, which are produced by hydrolysis, and a photocatalyst of spherical crystal particles are combined, the photocatalyst particles being such that positive ions separated from the hydroxide used during hydrolysis are modified, the spear-shaped crystal particles having a size of 5-30 nm, the average size of the spear-shaped crystal particles being equal to or greater than the average size of the spherical crystal particles, and the photocatalyst in the spear-shaped crystal particles being configured in an anatase form.
