Abstract:
Provided is a highly reliable piezoelectric sound generating component. This piezoelectric sound generating component is provided with: a vibrating plate, which has a metal plate and a piezoelectric body formed on the metal plate, and which flexurally vibrates when a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric body; a case having a bottom wall, a side wall extending in the thickness direction from the periphery of the bottom wall, and a supporting section for supporting the vibrating plate at the inner peripheral section of the side wall; terminals, which are formed on the side wall, and are electrically connected to the vibrating plate; at least two elastic adhesive pieces that connect the side wall and the vibrating plate to each other between the terminals and the vibrating plate; conductive adhesive pieces that are respectively formed across the vibrating plate and the terminals, said conductive adhesive pieces being on the at least two elastic adhesive pieces, respectively; and a frame-shaped sealing section that seals a gap between the outer periphery of the vibrating plate and the inner peripheral section of the side wall. The supporting section has a recessed section, at least a part of which is covered with the elastic adhesive piece.
