Abstract:
The present invention relates to (1) a pigment composition production method that includes a step in which a raw material pigment composition containing PY74 and a specific byproduct is treated with an oxidizing agent, the content of the specific byproduct with respect to the content of PY74 in the treated pigment composition being 1,200 mg/kg or less, (2) a pigment composition production method that includes a step in which a raw material composition containing PY74 and a specific byproduct is treated with hydrogen peroxide, (3) a method for reducing the content of a byproduct within a raw material pigment composition containing PY74 and a specific byproduct by treating the raw material pigment composition with an oxidizing agent, and (4) a method for mixing a pigment composition produced by the abovementioned methods with an inkjet recording ink and thereby preventing discharge failure of the inkjet recording ink.
