Abstract:
Provided is a pipe detachment preventing device for a union nut pipe fitting, with which it is possible to maintain a temporary assembled state and perform tightening work uniformly even though the structure is simple. A protruding part has at least flange parts 75 having through-holes 76 through which a tightening means passes, and wall parts 77 hanging from the flange parts 75. An end part 77a of each wall part 77 facing the other divided body is formed protruding farther toward the other divided body than a hook 72 and an end part 73a of an arm 73 facing the other divided body. A retaining ring 7 has a compressively deformable clamping member 8 through which the tightening means is inserted and which is clamped by the opposing flange parts 75. The compressively deformable clamping member 8 forms a space S between the end parts 77a of the wall parts 77 when the pair of divided bodies is linked by the tightening means and locked to a union nut 4 in a loosely fitted state. The tightening means is tightened until the end parts 77a of the wall parts 77 come into contact with each other, thereby tightening and fixing the pair of divided bodies to the outer peripheral surface of a pipe.
