A pixel circuit (100) and a driving method thereof, a display panel (1000), and a display apparatus. The pixel circuit (100) comprises a data writing sub-circuit (110), a driving sub-circuit (120) and at least one potential maintaining sub-circuit (130). The data writing sub-circuit (110) is at least coupled to a first voltage signal end (VDD), a data signal end (Data), a first scanning signal end (Pgate) and a first node (N1), and, under the control of at least a first scanning signal provided by the first scanning signal end (Pgate), writes into the first node (N1) a data signal provided by the data signal end (Data). The driving sub-circuit (120) is coupled to the first node (N1), a second node (N2) and a third node (N3), and, under the control of the potential of the first node (N1), forms a path between the second node (N2) and the third node (N3). One potential maintaining sub-circuit (130) is coupled to one circuit node and a reference signal end (Vref), and maintains the potential of the corresponding circuit node by means of a reference signal provided by the reference signal end (Vref).
