Title:
PLANAR LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/102194
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A planar light emitting device is provided with: an organic electroluminescent element module having a plurality of individual organic electroluminescent elements arranged in a row, said organic electroluminescent elements comprising a positive electrode, a light emitting layer and a negative electrode formed on one side of a first translucent substrate; and a second translucent substrate positioned on the light extraction side of the organic electroluminescent element module. The organic electroluminescent elements comprise: first through-hole wiring electrically connected to a first location formed on the outside of a light emitting section of the positive electrode; and second through-hole wiring electrically connected to a second location that extends on the one surface of the first translucent substrate of the negative electrode. An externally-connected electrode for supplying electricity to the organic electroluminescent element module is positioned on one side of the second translucent substrate so as to avoid the projection area of the light emitting section.
