Abstract:
Provided is a planar lightwave circuit which mitigates stress exerted on a substrate, and in which warpage is suppressed. This planar lightwave circuit has a glass film deposited on a substrate, and when the optical axis direction from an input waveguide to an output waveguide is set as the long direction of the substrate, a plurality of grooves are formed linearly along the short direction of the substrate.
