Abstract:

Provided is a plant management system that: does not entail a substantial workload, cost, construction period, or installation space; enables a system to be easily constructed, altered and expanded; has a small maintenance load; enables processing systems to be distributed and arranged in geographically separate locations and in locations that are not easily connected; and enables the occurrence of large-scale problems to be suppressed. Further provided is a plant management method. The plant management system (100) is provided with a plurality of processing systems (140, 150) that are disposed independently of one another, and memory tags (112, 122) that are disposed on plant containers (110, 120). The plurality of processing systems (140, 150) includes reader-writers (142, 152, 153) and processing devices (141, 151). By writing plant management data on a memory tag (112) via a reader-writer (142), and subsequently reading said data via a reader-writer (152) of a processing system (150), the data is transmitted between the plurality of processing systems (140, 150).
