Abstract:
Disclosed is a plastic lens wherein a lens composed of a resin having an NHCO structure and a resin containing a specific monomer is used as a base and a cured film having an NHCO structure is formed on the base by directly reacting the base with a coating composition containing a component (i) that is at least one compound selected from specific organosilicon compounds and their hydrolysis products, a component (ii) that is at least one compound selected from amino group-containing organic compounds, hydroxy group-containing organic compounds, mercapto group-containing organic compounds, amino group-containing organosilicon compounds, hydroxy group-containing organosilicon compounds and mercapto group-containing organosilicon compounds, and a component (iii) that is at least one compound selected from isocyanate group-containing organic compounds and isocyanate group-containing organosilicon compounds. This plastic lens is excellent in abrasion resistance, transparency and beautiful appearance, while especially excellent in adhesion with the cured film.
